These full-size knife handle scales are made from genuine woolly mammoth tooth sourced in Yakutsk, Siberia. Each pair features natural prehistoric patterns formed thousands of years ago, making every knife handle completely unique.

Stabilization process

The scales are professionally stabilized using vacuum-pressure cycles with Cactus Juice stabilizing resin, followed by casting with Alumilite resin. This process significantly improves strength, durability and machinability of the fossil material.

Material properties

Mammoth tooth is a very dense fossil material, similar in hardness to stone.

For cutting and shaping it is recommended to use:

• bandsaw with stone cutting blade
• diamond disk for stone / glass / tile
• metal hand saw (possible but slower)
